3. Restoration with leather repair cream should be carried out according to one of the algorithms described below. 4. After drying, leather repair cream creates a semi-glossy surface. If you want the surface to be matte, treat the restored with leather repair cream and the dried item with MAVI STEP Multi Oil Balm. 5. MAVI STEP Leather Repair Cream is a product for the restoration of smooth leather, including aniline leather. Do not use it for the restoration of suede, nubuck, velour, textiles, patent leather, or reptile leather.

How to Use Leather Repair Cream to Repair Leather Goods: “Minimal” Option

1. Clean the leather item from dust and dried dirt. Use the MAVI STEP Alexandra or MAVI STEP Reagan brush for cleaning. It’s important to clean only dry leather. If the item is wet, dry it first.
2. Restore the surface of the leather item with MAVI STEP Leather Repair Cream. Take a minimum amount of leather repair cream with a cotton cloth or a MAVI STEP Dye Applicator Sponge and treat the damaged area of the item with it. Apply the product with careful and slow movements, similar to the movements when applying ordinary shoe polish. If you use a cotton cloth to apply the leather repair cream, wrap it around your finger. So you can better “feel” the material being treated. If you use a sponge for restoration, apply leather repair cream, alternating circular and rubbing movements.
3. Polish the item with a soft cloth. Polishing should be done only after the leather repair cream is completely dry. This restorative product works quickly enough, in 20 to 40 minutes. But to obtain the highest quality result, it is important to let the leather repair cream dry for as long as possible. The maximum drying time of leather repair cream is 24 hours from the moment of application.

1. Clean the leather item from dust and dried dirt (see the “Minimal” option).
2. Perform a deep cleaning of the leather with a liquid cleaner. The most effective products for this are MAVI STEP Creme Universelle, MAVI STEP Detacheur Universal, or MAVI STEP Total Cleaner. Each of these products contains components that, in addition to cleaning, nourish, soften, and moisturise the leather.
